Fun with sis!

Rache and I hung out this week at my place. First we went to Micheal's and bought really silly dollar crafts and then we brought them back to play with!

Mmmm Eggs!

So I'm sitting at work which, is obviously VERY slow today, thinking about my grocery list and all I want in the world right now is eggs! Scrambled, fried, hard-boiled, deviled, soft-boiled, mmm. My mom introduced me to soft-boiled eggs and cute egg cups. If I had all the time in the world for breakfast I would have one of those every mornin. When my sis lived in Seattle she used to always make eggs in a blanket/basket for me when I visited. I also think of the movie Michael with John Travolta (mom and I's favorite) when they're making breakfast and she cooks everyone's eggs. Yum!

Oh Babies

I worked at Emmanuel neonatal intensive care unit this week. With itty-itty-bitty babes-weighing 3-5 lbs. It was fun but, it's very different nursing work when you can pick up your patient with one hand (though you always use two)! Probably not my cup of tea for nursing but, it was a great experience.

Summer fun in ABQ!

I spent 3 weeks in ABQ this summer and my lil bro came to visit too! We went on the tram that goes up the Sandia Mountains and looks out onto Albuquerque. Its the longest aerial tram-2.7 miles. Jordan also took us off-roading (a common weekend activity). We went at night! This photo is of his friend John-my brother is riding with him-crazy! (Don't tell mom). My brother has some excellent photos-it was hard to choose.

Our trip to LA!

Jordan and I drove to LA this August to see family and friends. We visited all over the place. There's his mom, Gail, and I with itty-bitty HOLLYWOOD letters in the background. And the beach in Oceanside, where Jordan's Dad lives. Being a Portland girl, LA hit me like a brick. I have to say it's much different than I'm used to. Just fast, fancy, and overall-intense. I'm glad we had friends and family to be with!

Thanks, stranger

I posted this on a friend's blog and thought it deserved to be on two.
Thanks stranger-off duty fireman, who held my head still and talked to me when I crashed my motorcycle. I felt so grateful for your calm and untroubled manner amidst a lot of talking/yelling/questioning people while we waited for the ambulance. When they got there you left, I know you’re used to being a hero but, I still wanted to thank you.
Thanks, stranger
